Hiya everyone! My name is Daniel and this is my travel blog. I wanted to take a second to introduce myself and my family. At the start of this blog I am currently 28 and have an insatiable lust for travel. I am an Army brat that spent much of my childhood moving around, therefore, I do not claim to be from anywhere in particular. When asked I usually say England. The reason being is that at 18 I joined the United States Air Force and began an exciting eight year career as an Intelligence Analyst. During my eight years in the Air Force, I spent all but one year living in England. It was the first time in my life that I had sat in one spot for more than two or three years. The travel and lifestyle I became accustomed to helped me figure out who I was and what I found to be the most enjoyable thing in life, TRAVEL. During the last three years of my time in England I met my husband Hayden and we obviously got married. We then adopted our furbabies, Gir (a Norfolk Terrier) and Princess (a Northern Inuit Wolf Dog). In 2016 we moved to Washington D.C. We spent two years in D.C. and continued to travel all over the East Coast, as well as, complete a top to bottom renovation on the home we bought. It was also the time that I separated from the United States Air Force and took a contracting job at the Department of State. In 2018 we moved once more to Dayton, Ohio and this is where we currently reside. In my ten years on my own I have traveled all over Europe, parts of Asia, parts of Central America, and a few places around the US. About half of all of my travels I have gotten to share with my wonderful husband, and about a quarter of them I have gotten to share with both my husband and my furbabies. With this blog I want to start by detailing my past travels around Europe and work my way up to my most recent trip. Once this is documented, it will be my goal to update the blog every time we travel. I hope to inspire and aid young adults/professionals to travel and experience as much of the world as possible. I hope to share my opinion on places I have been and potentially offer some advice on what I thought made the trip a success, and what I could have lived without. I hope you enjoy following my journey and I hope that it helps! My apologies for the choppiness of this post and I hope promise to try and get better at blogging.
Cheers,
-Daniel
